"A mess"
A mess. Car was late. It happens. But I called customer service and was told 5 minutes a few times. I'm tired of talking to some outsourced rep who is clueless. Then I'm charged 2x. This had happened before. Oh and car was gross. Banged up. Smelly and dirty. Lastly when I did reach someone in NYC office I was hung up on. Peter thanks. I was a regular. No more.

"Unsatisfied customer"
On March 10, 2023 I ordered a stretched white limousine for my granddaughter's sweet 16th birthday for March 11, 2023. Later that day, on the 10th, I realized they had the wrong address on the receipt therefore I called to correct it. On the 11th, a couple of hours before her party I was informed there wasn't any limos, making it impossible for me to make any other arrangements. Besides the fact they could've told me that when I called to make the correction the day before; the customer service representative, a female, who called to tell me there wasn't any limousines was extremely rude and unprofessional.

"Horrific driver almost hit my car"
Horrific driver almost hit my car! I call to complain and they told me to call the police and said there are no ways to make a complain about a bad driver.

That man might end up getting someone hurt if keeps driving like that!

"Beware"
Service is iffy, at best. Canceled my last trip to the airport 2 minutes before the scheduled pickup time. They also rip off customers with tolls. They tried to charge me $11 for a $3.00 toll.

Switched over to Lyft and far more reliable. Carmel is a bit archaic

"Driver was very prompt"
Driver was very prompt. 14 mins from Manhattan to Jet Blue at LGA.
Driver was organized. Had a little trouble understanding him .. otherwise the experience was great!

"My driver was exceptional"
My driver was early. He was polite and considerate and helped me with my luggage and opened the door. A seamless quick trip to the airport. This is my review but I am awarded $10 Car cash from Carmel for sharing it. Will definitely use them again!

"Charging upfront and driver leaving after speaking with him"
Living in NYC and traveling frequently for both business and leisure, I used to be a regular but I am shocked by the service degradation. Last one, called 10 minutes after pick up time to inform us they didn’t have a driver for our airport transfer. Today, after not receiving the usual notification of driver’s arrival (first image attached) driver called and I literally said “hi, would you wait for 10 minutes please? I’ll take care of you”. “Yes just call when you’re ready”. Went downstairs ten minutes later, looked for him and when I checked the app the job had been cancelled. Called customer service, transferred back and forth to 2 different dispatchers and eventually was informed they didn’t have a replacement car but would be charging for the service. Understood, Carmel, good luck but beware - competition is good and professional out there.

"If you want a service that does NOT…"
If you want a service that does NOT show up and cancels on you at the time of arrival! then book this service!!!!!!!! I called 3 times before my client arrived and reconfirmed. I asked is it 100% that the driver would arrive and they said Yes! Then they send an email 10 minutes after flight landed! cancelling the service. Worst company ever!

"UNRELIABLE"
UNRELIABLE. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. Ordered a car 4 days in advance and they ask you to call when you get your luggage. I called and they gave me the runaround. A supervisor eventually told me it'd be another 45 mins to get me a car. I had to cancel. I got an Uber in 4 mins. Use a competitor or Uber or Lyft.

"DO NOT USE if you’d like to get where you’re going."
Absolutely horrendous experience and complete and total lack of customer service. Despite having reserved a car more than 24 hours in advance, on the day of the trip, December 23rd, I received a notification and call that first my car would be a half hour, followed shortly by them just canceling the trip with no notice. This is the second time they’ve done this, the last time was for a pick up at JFK but I mistakenly wrote it off as a one time experience.
When I spoke to dispatch after several calls, they advised that they had no cars available in the entire city, and that I should find another mode of transportation before hanging up on me. The day before Christmas Eve is not the day to be forced to find an alternative transportation. Clearly, their “reservation” system is meaningless. Do not use them if you actually expect a car to pick you up.

"If I can give them a zero I will"
If I can give them a zero I will. Terrible service, terrible rude drivers that just yell and want to fight, stranded me I almost lost my flight I had to pay a private driver to take me to the airport never again will I use Carmel they need to get their act together

"Cheating on Toll Charges"
While I have never had a service problem with Carmel customers should know that they charge for tolls on an undiscounted basis even though they are using Easy Pass or equivalent and they are paying a discounted rate. This allows them to charge a lower amount for the ride than their competition but make it up through the profit they make on the toll charge. I have complained to them about this deceptive practice with no effect.

"Absolutely awful company"
Absolutely awful company. Arrived at Boston Logan to find they had sent me a link to a meeting point at a different airport and the phone numbers provided didn't work or went to an answer phone.
Ended up taking a local taxi and when arrived at the hotel a very nasty message was left on my phone stating the driver had been waiting and I hadn't showed up.
Cancelled the transfer back and requested a refund through Expedia but only got 50% back as they claimed the driver had been waiting, Disgusting - do not use.

"New York City Visit"
We recently were in New York City. We had a car reserved for 3 different occasions. We had issues with the second reservation, but they immediately gave us a $12 credit that was applied to the 3rd reservation. I was very pleased with this service and will definitely use it if and when we return to the city.
